If you want to make money online, you need to consider some important factors.

 Any new business will require some capital and lots of effort to start. With an online business you should treat it like any business.

The advantage you have though, is that you do not have to get new premises, so you can work from the comfort of your own home.

 I suppose this option has crossed the minds of many people. If you are one of those people, you need to start taking stock of yourself first.

 Exactly why do want to work from home? I have to get straight to the point here. Working from home is not suitable for everybody. To be able to work from home you must have the following traits:

• You must have self-discipline.

If you do not have the discipline to do what you need to do, start when you need to start, etc....you WILL fail. There will be nobody to tell you what to do and when do it.

• You must have a burning desire.

Whatever it is that you want to achieve, you must have a burning desire to achieve it. This will motivate you to get up in the morning and get started. It will keep you going when the going gets tough.

• You must be self motivated.

Set yourself realistic, achievable goals. Write down your goals. Reward yourself every time you achieve a goal. This will help to keep yourself motivated. Keep on setting goals, and as you get better at achieving them, start stretching yourself, by setting bigger goals. Set deadlines for achieving your goals. Keep on doing this until you achieve your ultimate goals, and your dreams become a reality. Get pictures to support your goals. You need to see it and keep it in front of you. Visualize your goal. If you can't see it, you can't achieve it. If you can see it (in your mind), you can achieve it. (Believe me, this has been proven over and over.)

• You must be able to organize your day.

Goal setting will also assist you in organizing your time. Nothing can be worse than getting up in the morning, not knowing what to do. Organize your time giving priority to actions that will help you achieve your goals. You must take daily action towards achieving your goals.

• You must be able to persevere.

Do not be a quitter. You will have days where it feels that nothing can go wrong. But believe me, the days will also come where it feels like just nothing works in your favor. Every thing goes wrong, you don't meet deadlines, you can't concentrate on anything, etc..... Don't quit. Maybe take a break if you can, but press on. Nobody said anything about getting every thing on a silver plate just because you work from home and you do not have to answer to the boss. 

 You need to apply all the above if you want to work from home. There are more to consider, but I feel these are extremely important. There are people who does all these things spontaneously.  If you battle in one of these areas, this doesn't mean you will never be able to work from home. All these traits can be achieved by anyone.

 To use an example. If you battle with DISCIPLINE, you can develop a BURNING DESIRE to achieve financial independence. Start setting GOALS, which will motivate you to get ORGANIZED to achieve them. Then PERSEVERE, until you have developed the DISCIPLINE to TAKE ACTION everyday in order to achieve your goals. 

Start by deciding why you want to work from home. Then find something you are passionate about. Once the passion is there, the desire will come, and you will be amazed how quickly you start applying these principles without even realizing it.

To be able to work from home can be a dream for many. It can also be a very necessary way to make a living, being unemployed otherwise.

 Whatever the reason for wanting to work from home, you need to be aware of work from home scams.

 Although making money online is an excellent way to make a living, these scams can give the industry a bad name. If you don't do your home work properly, you can get your fingers burnt.

Thus I want to stress even more the importance of doing proper investigation before parting with any money. Be patient. Rather spend more time, even though you might be desperate, and do not lose any money in the process. Be realistic, earning good money will take time and effort. Don't fall for promises of "easy" money. The only "easy" part in these cases will be losing your money.
